Raised by her Father upon his ship, Mal's upbringing was not traditional. It did however ensure she learned many things that most young girls would never have the opportunity to learn. Somethings she won't mention considering they could make even the strongest loose their latest meal.

She is not shy and isn't afraid to assert herself if she feels it is needed. Mal is not afraid to get her hands dirty. She is always willing to do what needs to be done in order to ensure she has enough gold in her pocket to keep her happy. Fortunately for her, she doesn't need much to be happy.
