What on earth...?

It's a giant, fat mountaineer, come to see how dem city-folks're doin fings. Likes his possum stew cold and his women hot. Doesn't seem to be overly bright, but he has apparent skills when it comes to outdoors living and staying alive.

After his uncle Jim-Bob's still blew up, Bubba was at a loss. With no idea what to do and figuring his cover was blown, he quit his daily job as a roadkill collector and went into hiding in the woods with his cousins Ray-Bob, Slim-Jim, Big-Jim, Little-Jim, Cross-eyed-Jim as well as his own brother Cletus. Having run into strange hairy creatures in the woods they soon had to return though. The law was hot on their tail, but after a while they figured 'them fancy-schmancy city-slickers ain' got nuffin on 'em anyway', so they took a freebotin' ship a few weeks later just to be sure.

The sea voyage was long and rough, and the crew were constantly drunk and rowdy. Eventually their ship "The Steaming Skunk" ran aground just off Port Saban, and carrying his meagre possessions, only Bubba managed to swim ashore. Most of the others drowned in the wreck, and local hammerheads took care of the rest.

Now Bubba is trying to figure out this strange land, where the locals have never heard of moonshine or possum cousine. Several seem to have no qualms about marrying their cousins though. So far no one has gone "We dun' like yer kind 'round 'ere, boah" on him. Yet...."Dayum, looky yonder at dem wimminfolk!"
