Of uncomfortably insufficient height that was always to be his Achilles heel, the man compensates it with a wide-shouldered, powerful and somewhat well-proportioned build coming from dedication, conscience and long time of hard labor. Greying hair and uncouth, somewhat ill-maintained mustache are his distinct features.

   He is a city-sort, well at home among the cobbled streets and on good terms with most of its inhabitants, at heart being a part of the community that formed in the lower-class parts. Not squinting at noon and comfortable under the sun, his ethnic ambiguity can often be noticed.
