Genestealers are a spcecies of Tyranid used as the ultimate shock trooper. Their purpose is to advance ahead of the hive fleet and pinpoint potential planets for the Tyranids to devour. They are among the most deadly  creatures in the galaxy, combining high cunning, lightning fast reactions and movement, with large extremely sharp claws that can rip through the toughest armor in seconds.

Genestealers stalk their prey before hypnotizing them with their gaze, lulling their target into a false sense of safety before bestowing them with The Genestealer's Kiss, a detachable organ that is implanted in the victim that alters their dna, making it compatible with tyranid dna, linkinf them to The Hivemind, and ensuring any offspring will be genestealer hybrids, with varying degrees of mutation. Future generations will eventually give birth to Purestrain genestealers, at which point the genestealer cult will begin the process of summoning the hivefleet.
