Niccolò Contarini was a son of Luca Contarini, a successful trade-man. Niccolò had three more brothers. Because he did not want to share the rich heritage with his brothers he early plotted shemes against his own family. When his elder brother, Gianco Conatrini, started a secret affair with Valerietta Diavola with the young age of 20 years Niccolò had his first chance to eliminate one of his brothers. The family Diavola and family Contarini were sworn enemies to the death due to a long story back in 35 years.
Niccolò helped his elder brother first to deepen the affair with Valerietta. Gianco was trying to find a way to marry Valerietta and trying to find peace between the two families for gaining more power. Gianco, wanting to be pure in heart, tried even to save the virginity of Valerietta until to marriage.
Niccolò supported these steps first, but then hired some lascivious girls, who had similarities in the appearance of Valerietta. The girls had to stay close around Gianco and drive his brother mad; making him lusting for Valerietta. With some more bluffing and evil whisper from Niccolò Gianco was sexual wild at one night and wanted to meet Valerietta urgently....
Niccolò promised his brother to arrange a secret meeting in a rented flat, organizing an undisturbing night for them.

After Gianco had deflowered Valerietta in that night... even, when he was still inside of her, the wooden door got knocked down and some merchenaries of the family Diavola entered with the elder brother of Valerietta entered the sex-filled room.
Gianco died that night and his ripped body was thrown into the river.

With this happening the war of Diavola and Contarini got to a new peak. This was of course the perfect chance for Niccolò to organize some more 'accidents' to eliminate his other two brothers Agnello and Pietro.

Being the only one left in the heritage Luca Contarini sent Niccolò with a good batch of the family wealth to Aglon.

Later Niccolò married Deia Morosini and had two sons with that woman, called Filippo and Giovanni. Giovanni was sent out by one of the wars the Aglon empire has waged. In this war he got arrested and got quatered a few months later.

With the family wealth and the education and experience he got in the house of Contarini Niccolò founded a new trade empire with the base in Aglon. He multiplied his fortune with big legal and many secretive, not so legal trades. His biggest fortune was made especially during the wars of Aglon. There are some rumours Aglon would not have had enough weapons for war without some wily weapon-trades of Niccolò Contarini. This might be the cause the Aglon Empire ignores some darker facts about this man...
