Isendara is a world with two suns; the Greater, to guard the day and the Lord's Road, and the Lesser, to guard the night and the Moonpath. Mortals from the world are often enlisted by the angels to watch and maintain the paths and keep them fit for Celestial Travel. Euchrist was one such mortal, tasked with the cleaning and repairs of the Moonpath.

Until the day of the Eclipse, when both the Greater and the Lesser crossed paths with each other, reaching the same position in the sky. And, with them, came the Madness. All who laid eyes on them were afflicted by it. Mortals began to attack one another, clawing and tearing their way into each other's flesh, driven mad by a sight and a glimpse of visions no mortal was meant to see.

Euchrist, who was also driven mad, ran in manic blindness to the nearest house where he sheltered himself as his frail, broken mind struggled to parcel together what little remained of his sanity. As he crouched there for what seemed like an eternity, struggling in vain to forget the visions he's seen, a soothing light descended upon his head. And, with it, a tremendous peace and a transcending calm. He rose, a changed man, and slowly began the effort of many centuries to change and restore what the celestials had wrought on his world.

Euchrist now finds himself within the Plane of Sinfar, as a traveler. He has the appearance of a ruddy young man, optimistic and courageous, ready and raring to go, guided by his own sense of curiosity and child-like wonder. The only thing that would betray his age are the trails of stars within his hair.
