A well-traveled apothecary with a reputation for results, Pharaith has some idiosyncrasies. Though claiming to be a professional healer, they seem to be almost too interested in certain individuals with abnormal physiologies, magical bloodlines, or strange conditions. When confronted with such individuals, they often make generous offers to study them, even to the point of their own temporary servitude if the opportunity should warrant it. Their obsession with this no doubt belies interests of a more esoteric origin.

Dr. Pharaith insists on wearing an unusual mask that completely covers their face and eyes, which also filters potential pollutants from the air. At nearly all times they are garbed head to toe in black leather, and won't touch patients with their bare hands. Similarly repulsed by illumination, they prefer to work indoors or under the cover of night. Possessing some relationship with darkness, Pharaith even seems to dim light in their wake. Shadows grow long in their presence, sometimes twisting into grotesque shapes in the corner of one's vision.

The physician is almost always covered in dark, leathery garments that shine as if freshly oiled. Various phials and flasks often swing and slosh from their belt, filled with many strange and viscous substances.

The muffled voice behind the mask is often a courteous and reassuring one, if a bit stilted, and it is capable of speaking in many languages. But when a patient's need arises, a sharp command or a list of physical instructions is quick to follow.

When truly captivated by the sight of a new specimen, the doctor's breath will sometimes quicken and become ragged from behind the mask. In such moments, their shadow may even coil into thick tendrils that seem almost solid to the touch...

Any rumors as to the good doctor's unusual bedside manner, questionable morals, and speculative treatments are, of course, patently false.
