The Multiverse is too big a place for a single concept of Death to persist all unto itself. Between the numerous death gods, pretenses and ideas, a unified source of the actual moment of 'Death' itself is required to govern over such a universal truth. That is the nature of the Reaper. While technically there is only one Reaper, one Death, this singular entity has since fragmented into an uncountable and eternally-increasing number of Reapers who all take on their own aspects, ideas and identities while still acting out their role in the great cosmic game.

At times, however, these aspects take it upon themselves to get to know the work a little more intimately. Taking on physical forms other than their frightful, wraith-like appearances they stumble their way into the domain of mortals, partaking in any number of activities.

Why this happens is not something anyone can immediately explain, and when asked themselves any Reaper that has been pulled aside to answer it has simply chalked it up to a phenomenon called 'vacation days'.

This particular Reaper has adopted the form of a youthful human female with pale skin, black hair and startlingly deep blue eyes.
