Name: Klyt   (pronounced:  Klite, Kleet, or maybe the "k" is silent, which makes it "lit" or "lite"...  perhaps its the "L" or the "T" that is the quiet one.) Suffice to say, you are most likely saying it incorrectly... But that's okay, Klyt is quite used to it.

Race: Verdan  (which is a subspecies of goblinoid)
Gender: Gender Fluid (both appearing and preferentially)
Age: 18 (although like elven races, age more slowly and will appear more youthful)
Height: 3 ft tall (For now)

Klyt is truly the personification of her race. Although very much an individualist, she appears to non-Verdan like "all other Verdan". She does seem to embrace her entropic nature to its fullest and is prone to spontaneously speaking out, or acting..."weird".

The Untold History:

That-Which-Endures was a mysterious, faceless, and nameless entity whose power ranged between that of a Primordial and that of an Overgod. It represented the power of entropy, the inexorable change from order into chaos.
Sometime in the 500 or so years, That-Which-Endures cast its shadow on a clan of goblins and hobgoblins in the Underdark. The raw chaos power transformed the entire clan into a new race known as the Verdan.  When they were exposed to the entropic power of the entity known as That-Which-Endures, they lost all memory of their origins and mutation into this new race. Deprived of their history and afraid of the horrors of the Underdark, they fled to the surface and were met with curiosity by other races, as they traveled the world in search of new experiences.

Biology:
Young Verdan were similar looking to an elf  with jade-green skin and about as tall as goblins. However, as they aged, they underwent dramatic and somewhat random changes to size,gender, skin color, and physical characteristics. The most noticeable change, and the only one that seemed to be common to all Verdan, was in stature. Over a period of days, at a certain point in their adult lives, Verdan painfully grew to the size of hobgoblins (about 6ft tall).

Other changes happened at different moments along their adult lives, following no apparent pattern. Their skin, hair, and eye color could change from their original jade tone to any shade of green, ranging from pale white to jet black. Their ears, originally similar in shape and size to an elf's, could grow extremely long, sweeping back from the head like wings. It was common for Verdan who displayed that trait to wear their ears tied up behind their heads. Changes in sex and/or gender were also frequent.   Verdan blood is black and tarry (like all goblinoids) but also granted them enhanced natural recuperative capabilities. Injured Verdan are often seen licking their wounds or generally if apparently uninjured. This is often mistaken to be similar to mammalian grooming, but is in fact salving strained, tired muscles or relieving some other body aches. If they see a companion showing any signs of discomfort, they often instinctively walk up and begin licking them.. which can be an unexpected surprise by new acquaintances unfamiliar with their habits...

Personality:
Thanks to their extreme mutability, Verdan do not assign any significance to skin color, stature, gender, or appearance. They viewed their fluidity as an opportunity to acquire new experiences and to grow in empathy with others.

Fierce defenders of diversity and freedom, Verdan vocally oppose all forms of oppression, especially those rooted in discrimination against appearance, gender, or race. They are generally considered humble and trustworthy by others.]

Due to their voracious curiosity, and  Verdan not possessing a collective history, they were sometimes viewed as gullible and innocent, and are often picked as easy targets by scammers. However, they possessed a unique insight that, over time, helped them discern when others were not being sincere. In which case they feel it is necessary to "teach them" in their wrongdoings...

Lights:
If you read/scrolled all the way down here  for her lights..  Sorry.  Because of her mutable nature, she doesn't really have any.

wat is fiction and wat isn't... for centuries.
