APPEARANCE

Cambria is small and slender, with very little natural bulk or muscle. Her narrow frame and unassuming appearance make her easy to underestimate. She has a distinctly mousy sort of cuteness: soft features, an earnest expression, and a tendency to look more like an anxious apprentice than a fully qualified Battle Mage.

She wears a suit of full plate armor forged from lightweight Mithril. Despite being full plate, the armor is exceptionally light and allows her to move, fight, and cast far more freely than her appearance would suggest. On her petite frame, the armor gives her an almost endearingly oversized appearance.

PERSONALITY

Cambria is intelligent, serious about her craft, and quietly proud of earning her place in the Mages Guild. She isn't particularly intimidating socially. In fact, she can come across as shy, awkward, or slightly nervous when meeting new people.

That changes dramatically in combat.

Once a fight begins, Cambria becomes focused and decisive. She doesn't posture or boast; she simply identifies the greatest threat and tries to destroy it. Her confidence comes from competence rather than bravado.

She is still only eighteen, however, and occasionally has moments where the terrifying Battle Mage disappears and the adorably awkward young woman underneath suddenly reappears.

MAGICAL ABILITY

Primary Specialty - Offensive Magic

Cambria is exceptionally skilled at combat magic. Her preferred spells are direct, destructive, and efficient: fire, lightning, force, explosive attacks, and other battlefield-oriented magic.

She excels at:

High-damage offensive spells
Rapid spellcasting under pressure
Striking multiple targets
Magical attacks against heavily armored opponents
Using magic to control the tempo of a fight
Combining spellcasting with close-quarters combat

Her greatest advantage is that she doesn't fight like a conventional mage. Cambria has trained specifically for situations where enemies can reach her.

ARMOR, WEAPON & COMBAT STYLE

Armor - Lightweight Mithril Full Plate
Cambria wears full plate armor made entirely of lightweight Mithril. The armor provides exceptional protection without imposing the weight and mobility penalties normally associated with full plate. This makes it particularly well suited to a Battle Mage, allowing Cambria to cast spells, maneuver, and fight effectively while heavily protected.

Signature Weapon - Weaponized Mage's Staff
Cambria carries a weaponized mage's staff, designed to function as both a magical focus and a capable melee weapon. She is thoroughly trained in using it in close combat and considers it an extension of her spellcasting.

Her combat style combines offensive magic, armored protection, and staff fighting. She uses her Mithril plate to withstand attacks that might otherwise interrupt her casting, while her staff allows her to defend herself and control enemies who get too close.

Her ideal engagement is to soften an opponent with devastating magic before finishing the fight with her staff. If an enemy reaches her first, however, she is perfectly capable of fighting back rather than panicking.
