Ilhar (Mother), has always had those around her gossiping and spitefully debating how such an ill-mannered, mentally unstable hypersexual nutter has fucked as many poor unsuspecting souls as she has and not found herself with a flock of bastard daughters and sons...
Well, there's a few reasons...
- on more than one occasion the pregnancy terminated because she lives such a dangerous lifestyle.
- the ones that have made it to term that were not planned as part of one of her insane schemes or indulgences, were often abandoned, given to shady strangers, or simply forgotten they exist.

- a very rare few were forced to be conceived and borne, only to be taken.

Shai'ith was borne when Ilhar was just barely beginning to bleed, during her 6th year of slavery at the hands of the Matrons' Stark. Even at that age Ilhar was wild, and prone to outbursts of violence... only to play the "frightened jalil" in order to avoid punishment. It didn't always succeed. Late one nite, while chained up in the "quiet room" the malar veldruk she injured appeared drunkenly in the room, and proceeded to teach the petulant jalil "respect and discipline."   The assault ended shortly after he rolled off of Ilhar where she proceeded to stab him 89 times with the wooden spoon handle she had sharpened into a point during the day.   However, the seed had taken root and was carried to term, while Ilhar was taught the finer lessons of assassination. Once borne, a memory altering spell was cast erasing the knowledge of Shai'ith from Ilhar's memory.
