This young priestess of Selûne carries herself with composed grace. Maelis is often seen at the temple, moving with  purpose. Her pale hands chapped and raw from chores - laundry, scrubbing and sweeping the floors.

Her straight, dark brown hair was neatly kept either free, framing a face that might be called average (especially among the exotic beauties of the archipelago) or tied back in a tight bun.

To most people she meets, Maelis is all proper manners and polite detachment, her voice even, almost emotionless, a barrier as much as a courtesy.
