Valmaxian, once a beast master and healer for the Ludus games in the city of Aglon, now resides in retirement following the cessation of the games rather than succumbing to age-related wear and tear. After spending his years beneath the arena alongside the animals, he was eventually granted retirement by the nobles. With ample time on his hands, he now indulges in excessive whisky consumption and the smoking of narcotics.

Having been a slave to the nobility, Valmaxian developed a preference for solitude, avoiding casual interactions whenever possible. However, since relocating from the affluent city, he has found people to be somewhat more tolerable, though not significantly so. He begrudgingly assists them with healing in conflicts and adventures when necessary.

Physically, Valmaxian is stocky and tall, sporting a wispy beard and moustache. Despite showing signs of wear and tear from his days as a beast master, he remains more than capable of looking after himself. Scars and dints adorn his body, reminders of his former role.
