Tanisha is a plain old everyday human. She has no mixed ancestral bloodlines with demons, dragons or demigods. She didn't grow up particularly wealthy (her family were garlic farmers going back 7 generations). She wasn't very popular or even known by her fellow townies as anyone but "the garlic girl", being the first daughter to the Jones clan of garlic farmers for 6 generations!
She was, despite being quite clever and above average intelligence, poorly educated and not physically talented. On more than one occasion she nearly maimed herself  trying to assist her family harvest or plant garlic crops. Her first 2 decades of living, she was rather plain to look at, often dirty and poorly dressed. physically she was always scrawny to the point of being assumed to being of poor health and malnourished. Awkward, clumsy and socially stunted from a total lack of friends... Tani spent her days tryin not to be a burden on her family, and reading anything she could get her hands on. By her early teens she was library of trivia, obscure facts and useless information..  If one was a poor daughter of a garlic farmer at least. By her mid teens, when all the other village boys and girls were being married off, leaving town for "grand adventures" or being killed off by bandits and raiders of various origins.
