"Oh, I know, the extinguisher control circuits shorted out and started a fire but don't worry, it'll go out when it burns through the dispersal pipes, T-9 is trying to reroute them now to make it easier"

"That's...*sigh*...brilliant, carry on Lambda 4.  There's a small space station coming up on the scanners, drop out of hyperspace there and maybe you can get repairs, and laid, you must need it pretty badly by now.  
We'll pick you up on the way back."

"Roger, Lambda Leader, are you sure you don't want to come with me ?"

"Negative Lambda 4, I'm still sore from the last time and these supplies won't deliver themselves but we'll miss your firepower.
Good hunting Geli, Lambda Leader out."



The force is wrong with this one

So very, very wrong in so very many ways
Yoda would help Vader force choke her
......and she'd like it.

5'9" and slender with mottled gold skin.
She looks like a Twi'lek but isn't.
A Twi'lek couldn't keep up with her.
Onarians make some of the best pilots but need close physical contact regularly or they gradually lose focus and concentration until they become catatonic.  Being close to a sentient being is better than nothing but being really, really close is the best.  She's a better pilot than most but that comes with a high price tag, uncontrollable overwhelming horniness.



The funny part:
I decided to make a Star Warsy character for 'May the 4th' and settled on a Twi'lek-'ish' one with gold skin and made her a fighter pilot.  I had her and her uniform mostly made before looking for a portrait that might fit.  I'd never heard of the 'Hera Syndulla' character until then but it was uncanny how close I'd come, maybe the force IS strong with this one :)


The scifi-y part:

Nobody would know more than generalites from the first paragraph just seeing her

She's not a Twi'lek or even closely related to them, or Togruta, She's an Onarian from Onaria 5 but her people are often called 'Onnies' because they always want someone to 'hop on'

Her 'lekku', aren't.
They could be called antennae to locate the force in other lifeforms to either get close to or stay away from.  They can't move very much on their own and she usually keeps one draped over her shoulder and the other hanging behind her to cover the most area.  They're sensitive enough to 'see' the location of a fighter pilot in a cloaked and shielded ship before it gets in weapons range and with enough concentration, even locate the disturbance a droid's energy causes.

Her tail on the other hand is more prehensile than a lot of species' hands, she uses it to operate the concealed weapons controls in her highly modified shuttle and it's more than flexible enough to draw the small blaster she keeps hidden in a padded holster inside the back of her flight jacket and fire it, something that's bailed her out of a few situations.  She often keeps it tucked in a pant leg when walking around and most wouldn't even realize it's there

She's currently part of a non-aligned group that transports relief supplies to systems ravaged by the seemingly never ending battles between the Empire and the Rebels once the fight has moved on.  Her 'used to be a Lambda class' shuttle has more firepower than the average frigate but looks like an ordinary shuttle to the eye and almost all scans and she acts as a 'Q-ship' to protect aid convoys.

She's accompanied by T9, a utility droid she modified to be her co-pilot, engineer and assistant gunner, handy for finding a safe port in case she ever slips into her catatonic phase on a long trip.

She isn't a Jedi but she has enough force in her to use a lightsaber and she has one she found on a battlefield to go along with the blasters she usually uses
