You see an automation of some sort.  You can hear the whirring of gears and a soft hum eminating from this creature.

It appears to be formed from adamantite and mithiral alloys.  By the depth of its footprints, you'd guess this small automation weighs over 500lbs.

Engraved into it's helmet are the numbers 7009, and it will respond if the numbers are spoken alowed.

It will stand motionless until whatever internal programing it has propts it into motion.
It seems to have intellegence and can comunicate in simple phrases.

It will follow instructions up to a point.  Instructions like follow, defend, break object and advance, it typically executes for almost anyone who asks it to serve them.  

It does have free will and will sometimes wander away if left idle too long, seeking a new master.

7009 was once alive.  By it's size, it could have been a gnome.  Parts were replaced and upgraded over centuries until it's life turned into automation.  It has a need to serve and be useful.  It will perform excellently as a gardian, assisting a living person to adventure in dangerous areas.
