From her upraised hand a giant green one shot out to meet the flaming boulder arcing toward the group...the boulder hit it not quite square on and tilted the spectral fingers back just enough to skip past.

She held up her shield by instinct and the last thing she remembered was the huge rock smashing it back toward her before the top edge hit the inside her elbow

As she came to, Bernie the healer was fussing over her only to pause and look away when she opened her eyes

"I'm sorry, if it hadn't cauterized so fast I could probably have regrown it, why do you even HAVE a flaming shield anyway ?"

She just shrugged, "It looks cool ?"

Indeman walked over and shook his head "can you still cast your spells ?"

"Of course I can, how do you think I swing a sword when I do it now ? The only problem is that was the hand I always use to jill off with between attacks"

"Alright, I'll get you some help with that but for now go to the armoury and draw a vorpal blade, you're going to need all the edges you can get, another attack should be coming within the next hour or two"
