Parents that explored the stars led to an interesting early life for Caliope (Cally), shaping... a lot.  What it turned out though was quite the sight, with long blue hair that draped delicately over their back.  A tendency to embrace the emo/goth side of fashion led to heavy eyeliner and piercings - and quite a different idea of what were "normal" clothes for a boy with the last place his parents had decided to establish themselves.
