Parents that explored the galaxy led to an interesting early life for Caliope (Cally), shaping... a lot.  What it turned out though was quite the sight, with now teal-dyed hair in the awkward mid-length between short and grown out.  A tendency to embrace the emo/goth side of fashion led to the occasional touch of eyeliner, and the experience of fashions across multiple worlds developed quite a wishy-washy idea of what normal clothes were for a boy.

Ending up in Sinfar had been a fight for Cally, leaving the life they were far more familiar with to end up somewhere with little in the way of technology.  Especially going from a place with aliens from all walks of life, only to end up... here.  Granted, it was a bit of a reassurance that there was at least a variety of sentient life, but still.

A love of music showed in a near perpetual accessory in the form of headphones or earbuds with music playing.  The only exceptions for such were when he was actively chatting for the most part, or on the rare occasion someone convinced him to play the piano.  While he tended to do his best to dress masculine - in public at least - there was no way to entirely hide his feminine frame.
