It was that time of the summer when this year's virgin Queens flew off to be chased down by the waiting Drones and start their new lives building their hives.

Beeorna took her place in the small pack jostling to be first out and paused to ask herself yet again "Am I ready to be hunted down, get my brains completely fucked out and then spend the rest of my life mindlessly pumping out eggs like a good little Queen is supposed to?"

The Queen's door suddenly opened and the flight was off in a stampede of buzzing wings and the odd kick or sting to get out ahead of the others.

"Wants and needs are only greeds" she shot some venom on the floor on the floor "Fuck that shit" she decided and when the rest turned left to head for the trees with the mass of Drones hot on their trail, she broke right, dived to the ground and hid until everyone else was long gone.

"I want to see what's out there beyond the flowers and the forest before I do anything else" she quietened the buzzing of her wings then slowly flew off to find what there was to find.

She's about four feet tall not counting her antennae, much larger than the workers in the hive, with powerful chest and back muscles to work her wings, long legs to walk faster when she's not flying and a stinger that twitches just above her bottom, dripping a little venom* she wipes on the spear she made from a sharp stick.

She might be a virgin Queen but that never stopped her from being curious and well, technically she's still a virgin......or at least she hasn't had a Drone jump on her and turn her into an egglaying machine.
Other species won't work for that and it's more fun too.  Even if the part where the Drone dies afterward would be the high point of it all, that can wait.

*Her sting can paralyze, poison, or arouse a male beyond control, depending on if she wants to flee or have a little fun.  
It's up to whoever gets stung to decide if it affects them (try DC 20 maybe ?).
