It was the Year of the Rogue Dragons 1373 that House Shobalar fell in the War of the Spider Queen. It was destroyed when the tunnel leading to it was sealed.  

The House guard was made up of magically bred giant spiders and was known for its spider cavalry headed by Vilto'sat Shobalar, Captian, who died in the tunnel collapse in 1373 DR.

The house was uncharacteristically reclusive, even by Menzoberranzan standards, being notable for specializing in arcane magic and producing several female wizards.

It was for that reason their house was destroyed as punishment for women practicing arcane rather than divine magic.

After the destruction of their house, they maintained their outpost, Sezz'ia, where they conducted their magical research.

Numerous expeditions where sent by various houses to discover it's location, but it was never found.

It was at this outpost that Tai'Luer was born, with no chance to lead as the name was eradicated as well as she was the 5th daughter.

And so her name, Tai'Luer, defined as "spare" told her fate. No one took notice, or cared, when she left as a highly skilled sorcerer making her way to Sinfar.

She was aware of her move, knowing there was but a minor population of Drow but she also knew she would not be singled out as a relation of the fallen House Shobalar, or her former home, the outpost Sizz'ia.
