Kai Kesborn

Human, 5'4" tall, average appearance, average build, though fairly strong.  Age: 24, Brown hair, blue-gray eyes, you'd guess she weighs ~120lbs.

Kai has led an average life.  Middle child of 8 kids.  She learnd you need to take what you want or you miss out.  One of the things she knew, she didn't want to live the average life of a farmwife.  She signed up for the village malitia, then moved on to the Earl's.  She was a solid soldier.  Dependable, but not outstanding.  She'd carriy out her orders, never complaining, at least not so anyone ever heard.  During battles, she held her line, never paniced, and always was one of the survivors.  (It would be a short story if she didn't survive...)  One of the issues with being dependable, but not outstanding, was she was overlooked for promotion, time and time again.   This suted her as she only had to take care of her own duties, yet it did rankle her.    Eventually, she moved on to the King's army, when he levied from the lords.  This brought her to wars with neighboring kingdoms, but still no promotions.

Dependable, and as a soldier who wouldn't break when holding the line, can bring other types of attention from enemy spellcasters.  One such spell, and she woke up elsewhere...
