Description
Fregrin "The Dread Pirate" Blackheart
The Mad Dog of Suzail

----------------------------------------------------------
When the sea took names, he kept his own
When the world said fall, he made a throne
Tada aruite, tada terasu
Scarred and proud, he will not lose

One eye burning, one heart bare
All that pain and he still stands there
Not picked by love, but forged by war
A true legend at the center of the shore

Appearance:

The figure stands with the quiet confidence of a seasoned survivor, his presence both imposing and enigmatic. Tall and powerfully built, he possesses the physique of a hardened warrior, broad shoulders, thickly muscled arms, and a lean, athletic frame shaped by years of combat and hardship rather than vanity. Every visible inch of his body suggests endurance, strength, and relentless determination.  His face is ruggedly handsome, marked by sharp features and a strong jawline partially concealed beneath a neatly kept dark beard. A weathered intensity lingers in his expression, giving him the look of a man who has seen countless battles and carries the memory of each one. His remaining visible eye is dark and penetrating, fixed with unwavering focus, as though constantly assessing threats hidden in the shadows.

Covering his left eye is a black eyepatch, a stark reminder of some violent encounter in his past. Rather than diminishing his appearance, the eyepatch adds to his aura of mystery and danger, hinting at a story filled with sacrifice and survival. It serves as a badge of experience, suggesting that he is someone who endured a grievous wound and continued forward undeterred.

His dark hair falls to his shoulders in loose, slightly tangled strands. It appears damp or naturally heavy, framing his face and lending him a wild, untamed quality. The hairstyle complements his rough-edged appearance, making him seem equally at home in a battlefield, a storm-tossed ship, or a forgotten wilderness.

Clothes and Gear:
He is dressed almost entirely in black leather, giving him a shadowy and intimidating silhouette. His sleeveless vest is tightly fitted, laced together down the front with black cords. The leather bears subtle signs of wear, scratches, creases, and scuffs that speak of frequent use rather than decorative craftsmanship. The garment emphasizes his muscular build while allowing unrestricted movement, suggesting practicality over luxury.

A wide leather belt encircles his waist, securing equally rugged leather trousers. The entire outfit appears designed for mobility and durability, ideal for someone who lives by sword, dagger, or instinct. The dark tones blend seamlessly with the gloomy forest around him, making him look like a hunter who could disappear into the shadows at will.

Heavy leather bracers protect his forearms, reinforced with straps and metal fastenings. Fingerless gloves cover his hands, allowing dexterity while maintaining protection. Together, these pieces create the impression of a combatant who values both defense and agility.

Wrapped around his upper arm is a dark, jagged band resembling a thorny vine or stylized serpent. Whether it is an ornament, a symbol of allegiance, or a magical marking is impossible to tell, but it adds an intriguing touch to his otherwise practical attire.

What's behind the Vest?:

Fregrin's chest bore the cruel record of years spent in bondage, a landscape of scars etched into his flesh by hardship, punishment, and survival. No part of his broad torso had escaped untouched. Pale lines crisscrossed his skin like a tangled web, some thin and faded with age, others thick and raised where the wounds had been deep enough to leave permanent ridges. The most striking scars stretched diagonally across his chest and ribs, the remnants of repeated lashings. They ran in uneven parallel lines from shoulder to waist, some straight and narrow, others jagged where the whip had torn flesh rather than merely cut it. The oldest had faded to silvery-white streaks, while newer ones remained slightly darker and more pronounced, standing out starkly against the surrounding skin.

Across the center of his chest, several broader scars intersected the whip marks. These came from harsher punishments and labor accidents during his captivity. One long scar began just beneath his collarbone and cut downward across his pectoral muscle, a thick, rope-like line that had clearly required months to heal. Another curved around his side and disappeared beneath his arm, evidence of a deep wound inflicted by a sharp blade or broken chain. Near his sternum were small circular scars, scattered irregularly across the skin. They looked almost insignificant compared to the larger wounds, yet they hinted at repeated cruelty, burns left by heated metal, each one a permanent reminder of suffering he could never entirely forget. Though smaller, they carried a weight equal to any of the larger scars.

Time and freedom had strengthened Fregrin's body, and the scars now stretched across powerful muscles earned through years of hard work and determination. What had once been marks of ownership and oppression had become symbols of endurance. The scars no longer defined him as a slave; they testified to his refusal to be broken. Every pale line, every ridge of healed flesh, told a story of pain survived, hope preserved, and a spirit that had endured long after his captors had lost their hold on him. When seen in the glow of firelight, the scars seemed almost like strange silver rivers flowing across his chest, catching the light in subtle ways. They served as a silent reminder of where he had come from, a past filled with suffering, but also of the extraordinary strength that had carried him beyond it.

|OOC note|: When Dragon Shape is used, it emulates Fregrin's Black draconic abilities, you see the Green Dragon portrait and such, but it's the closest to Acid Immunity for the Black Dragon.  When he takes this form, violet-black scales cascade all over his arms and bits of his face.
