Character Notes:

Character adopts different names for different appearances. The magics used for these shapechange are nearly flawless, and the only ones that can truly 'sniff' out that it's not his real form would be adept dragons of a spellcasting persuasion. Even then the magics used would be impressive and perplexing to them.

Rarely, one of the dragon's scales will fall without him noticing. touching it can grant the holder insight or wisdom or memories, as Stellar Dragons scales are formed from knowledge.

Physical Descriptions:

Elven Form (Merem Bauer): A perfectly mundane and rather forgettable elven male. Unless one were to get ~very~ close under dimly lit conditions- only then they might notice flecks of what appeared to be faint ether like and dim stardust like patterns in his hair. Those well versed in the lore of the astral realm would note him immediately as an Astral Elf.

Lore:

Stellar Dragons:
Stellar dragons are enormous spaceborn philosopher's who wander the Flow in search of knowledge, and are counted among those races who share in the accolade of scholars of wildspace.

Stellar dragons literally consume knowledge, crystallizing it into clear or milky gems of varying size. These gems of wisdom and pearls of knowledge are extruded through their hides until they are embedded among the dragon's scales. The number of pearls and gems sprinkled across a dragon's hide indicate its relative status among other stellar dragons. The encrustation also roughly indicates its age; younger dragons have few gems, whereas venerable stellars are literally covered in jewels.

A stellar dragon's ultimate goal is to uncover truth; it abhors dishonesty and misinformation. Though information it trades may be cryptic, it is never false. A lesser being's misinterpretation is that being's own fault. However, misinformation causes a stellar dragon severe, painful indigestion, and as with its smaller kin, a dragon in pain is extremely dangerous.

a stellar dragon's titanic intellect allows it to employ any known arcane spell without error, and it may even modify or create new spells to suit its needs (for example, a dragon may combine the effects of a darkness, 50' radius and a fireball spell to create a shadow flare spell). A stellar dragon may repeat a spell as often as required.

Astral Elves:
Long ago, groups of elves ventured from the Feywild to the Astral Plane to be closer to their gods. Life in the Silver Void has imbued their souls with a spark of divine light. That light manifests as a starry gleam in an astral elf's eyes.

Because nothing ages on the Astral Plane, astral elves who inhabit that plane can be very old, and their longevity gives them an unusual perspective on the passage of time. Some are prone to melancholy, while others might display an absence of feeling. Many look for creative ways to occupy themselves. Whether they choose to live in quiet contemplation or strike out to explore the reaches of the multiverse, astral elves tend to see things through the lens of time as having little or no meaning to them. Astral elves who don't dwell in the Astral Plane can live to be more than 750 years old.

The Phlogiston:
"The Rainbow Ocean, The Flow - an endless sea of every color"
Also known as the rainbow ether or the rainbow ocean, the phlogiston is an infinite fog of swirling colors within which the crystal spheres bob up and down like enormous glass buoys. The term "phlogiston" applies to both the multicolored substance, as well as the entire region surrounding the crystal spheres.

The phlogiston has varying viscosity and forms dense rainbow rivers or currents that lead from sphere to sphere, forming a vast three-dimensional web or network of rivers. Ships or creatures that move along these rivers of concentrated phlogiston find that the greater the density, the faster the current, which greatly facilitates interstellar travel time between spheres. A spelljamming vessel can control its relative speed somewhat by moving in and out of these currents. Further, the speed of the ship is partially dependent on the surface area it presents to the Flow, so many ships carry sails to capitalize on these vast currents to increase their interstellar speed.
