Description
Garrick Thorne
Race: Orc
Height: 6'2"
Skin: Green
Hair: Black
Deity: Chauntea

Born beneath the open sky, this orc knew neither tribe nor family when the farmers found him. His parents had been raiding their lands for food when they were discovered, and though the farmers had every reason to hate the raiders, they could not bring themselves to kill a helpless child. Garrick was spared and taken into the care of the village.

The local priest of Chauntea, Elara Thorne, became his guardian. Raised among farmers, he learned the rhythms of planting and harvest, the value of honest labor, and the sacred duty of nurturing life. Yet Elara also taught him of the old ways of the wild, lessons that stirred something deep within his blood. Though he had never known his parents, he carried their heritage in his bones.

As Garrick grew older, he learned the truth. His parents had been slain by adventurers hired by the very humans who had raised him. The knowledge left him torn between gratitude and anger, between the people who had given him a home and the bloodline he could never reclaim.

Over time Garrick became a man caught between two worlds. From his orcish heritage came a reverence for the untamed world, the strength of the tribe, and the belief that life must be protected through strength and balance. From Chauntea came compassion, cultivation, and the understanding that strength exists not merely to conquer, but to shelter and nurture.

He walks both paths now, a druidic soul shaped by the wild and a servant of the Great Mother shaped by the fields. Neither fully human nor wholly of the orcish tribes, he has made peace with being something between them.
