Ivan Vargr

Portrait
Description
Name: Ivan Vargr

Race: Human male in his late twenties.

Features:  Long white blonde hair, and thick beard with similar ivory tones, cloudy blue grey eyes, and large full teeth almost too big for his mouth. Pale skinned, medium height, yet stringy defined muscle shows apparent as he moves.

In his Lycanthropy:  Larger in stature than most lupine human, though wiry hardened muscles protrude from his almost emaciated skeleton of a form.  His thin coarse coat of Gainsborough white mange is hardly enough skin to cover the elongated ribs that punctuate his sides, displaying themselves even if he has been eating hardy for a full winter.  Though this is normally not the case, Vargr prefers to hunt, but not feast, the glory of the kill and warm stains of blood upon his paws quenches his hunger more than nourishment.  Long muzzle and fierce boney maw often curl at the lips when he speaks, a mouth full of serrated fangs the size of bronzed daggers, seem almost too large for his size, though evolution made Vargr the perfect specimen for his demeanor.  Nasty rude courtesy, and almost in constant snarl at each word he growls forth, the white wolf looks down upon all with beady pink eyes of distrust and scowling grimace, but the most fearsome of pack leaders.
Background (Not IC knowledge unless acknowledged IC)

Illuskan of origin, Uthgardt in lineage, Vargrs' ancestors could be traced all the way to the decedents of Uthgar Gardolfsson himself.  As a young thane Ivan Vargr was kidnapped by the Arcane brotherhood and subjected to testing of a rather distasteful nature.  Perhaps the bloodlines of the stocky child were known to the Overwizard, little is beheld of such secrets, though obviously known to Vargr is the fact that his thirst for death and chaos swirl at the pit of his stomach aching for replenishment, taunting his hunger each night.   After some years being studied in a secluded stone tower, caged as an animal his usefulness depleted and fitting as it was he was traded to the People of the Black Blood, along with some hides, and magical trinkets in a rather unimportant mercantile bidding.  Living in the High Forest of Northern Faerun Vargr was infected with lycanthropy by the Black Bloods, a pack of Malar worshipping shape shifters and their Bloodmaster Narona of the High Forest.  Watching Naronas' taste for human flesh, Vargr watched eagerly and consumed his fills by their side, eager for the next High Hunt, where an innocent would be kidnapped, set to run like a hare and chased down by the shifters on the full moon of each season.  Vargr taste for such hunts and mutilation grew beyond reason; he began to seek challenge in his schemes and plots to appease the Hunger tethering his soul.  What better place to start that other Uthgardt, a tribe of Grey Wolf barbarians became prey to the ravaging beast, the boy Ivan had grow into.  Through means of humiliation and brutish savagery Ivan Vargr recruited Lycanthrope of the worst kind, stalking this small tribe of humble barbarian shifters, and slaughtering them aimlessly in mass over the course of a season.  He was to be banished from his pack; even the dark rituals and hunts of the Black Blood wanted nothing to do with the tyranny Ivan was seeking.  The protector and ward of the church of Malar Kyrran Greylord a Champion of the faith and Weretiger of his own, was on the hunt once again, and this time Vargr knew better than stay and fight.  Outcast and alone, needing to fill his urge to maim and thirst to spill blood under the moonlight, Vargr took refuge on an Illuskan Dragon ship, heading to pillage some farms off the coast.  When he awoke, covered in blood the ship smashed upon the shore, and sailors laying bent and shredded upon the bow, Vargr stepped foot upon the islands of Sinfar, with the smell of foreign flesh lingering about his air, and taunting his urges once again.
