Name: Slaine

Race: Human

Class: Rouge (Vigilante Assassin)

Appearance and Personality:

Slaine is a tall, yet well built man, seemingly very flexible and a master of finesse. He has a young face, round, yet well toned. He has a knack to keep his hair groomed, and always checks to make sure it's clean. Cleanliness is somewhat of a fasion for him, though it is practically nonexistent in his line of work. He always had an effort to keep a vigilant expression strewn across his face, if not unsympathetic. The leather he wears is tightly held with an assortment of knives, poisons, tools, and other various oddities. This is all, of course, hidden by a large and thick cloak wraps, well fastened to hide the leather. He generally hides his face under a hood, sometimes more of a face mask. The cloak itself has a fantastic pattern, an illustration of the mountains of Azh-Turim under a starry night. It's only an outline, consisting of deep black cloth and a silver weave to create the illustration.

He is quiet, and only speaks when it is important or necessarily to. He is stiff, and seemingly a loner, perhaps with his own goals. It is easy to trust him, but always paired with a sense of misguidance or caution around him. His only apparent charisma is how well behaved he is around everyone, matched with oddly good manners. Slaine seems to follow one Moral: Follow the laws of humanity. Civil laws are designed for order, and those who want a false sense of security. Slaine's moral is designed to keep humanity alive and thriving, and true evil away. He strongly keeps to himself, unless confronted with an individual who has a strong corrupted presence, or abusive abilities. When he meets such a person, they have a tendency to... Dissapear. Though he always seems to break his own morals, he keeps content with understanding this: He never sins for his own advantage or power, but for that of the good of all mortals. Though, do not make the mistake of taking him for a peaceful and righteous person, his nature is far from it. He is more than likely to leave a shady black market dealer alone (Or even purchase from one).

As for socially, one cannot quite call Slaine a smooth speaker... he's more than likely to accidentally pick a fight if he tries to negotiate, then stop one. But when push comes to shove, he still manages to get his fights alone and out of notice quickly, and hopefully without arising any more suspicion. For the most part, Slaine is horrible at speech. This is mostly because of his odd accent (See nationality), he has a tendency to make something come off as ruder than he actually means. Of course, this is only what a person can pick off from observing him. Perhaps he has other motto's, or possibly even his own, more sinister incentive.

Nationality:

This is a tricky topic. As far as heritage, Slaine's father was born and raised to 10 in Azh-Turim, by his Orc father Bak'Shan, and his human mother. The orcs of the land renounced Bak'Shan's Orc blood for marrying a human, but allowed them to live in the mountains, if not excluded from the others. He left as an apprentance, as all assassins do, to dedicate his life learning the line of work. As for Slaine's mother, she was actually raised and met her husband in Vexbright, where they fell in love, yada yada yada. While wandering, their travels had brought them to Lyrna. A difficult problem occurred there. Because of the unnaturall conditions and the absence of civilized medicine nearby, Slaine's mother died in birth... yet the newborn lived. From there, Slaine and his father were on the road for a long time. One cannot pick out Slaine's accent. It is far too meshed togeather with all of the other accents, seeing as he lived at different places for years at a time. Brymseilian is the highest concentration in his tone. -Note that usually Slaine uses a fake accent around people he does not know.

Background:

Born and raised by his father to be a contracted Assassin, Slaine followed his father around several of the lands, picking up on the plentiful information to be learned as an assassin. His mother had died in birth, but to his father's resentment, Slaine managed to survive all odds of childbirth. If it was his wish, his father would have left Slaine there. But, thankfully, his wife had this one wish before her death- That he would protect Slaine, by any means necessary. Being obliged to her wishes, Slaine's father decided to continue his line of work, but began to teach Slaine the starters of being an Assassin. They went from city to city, country to country, and Slaine was always just a shadow of his father, only there for sentimental reasons.

His father was a notorious for being one of the few strong and powerful Assassins, though his true existence was nonexistent, hidden in the shadows and gossip, except to those who manage to hire his services. His father was only a rumor of the lands. One warm and humid summer, his father was lead to the great and powerful city of Crylax, on hint that one of the nobles was in need of his... Services. Inside the immense city of Arnurr, Slaine's amazement and fascination with the technology and beauty that was kept there was endless. In a different life, Slaine could deffinetly see himself becoming a nobleman of such a city. But, like all joys he experienced, his father quickly shot down, at the request of his first Assassination target.

The lord who hired him was named Meldrex, known for his high power and wealth, and his strong magical abilities. The target he was told to eliminate was a rivalling noble lord, of high status and with a powerful stand on the city. Someone that defiantly challenged and rivaled Meldrex. For what seemed like the first time, Slaine's father almost was distressed about this mission. He was a man of high confidence, and always seemed to come through... one way or another. Clearly, the outcome of this one mission would make or break his father's relationship. Everything had to go well, and his father seemed to know it did. In the parlor of Meldrex's manor, his father prepaired Slaine for the assassination. How? By mocking him.
"As Assassins, our reliability and notoriety is judged by ever action we take. Fail this, you fail as an Assassin. I hope you understand this, Boy." His father scolded him in a harsh tone. The one thing that kept slain moving was his hope of living up to his father's standards. Slaine double checked his tools and weaponry. Everything was ready... he could only hope he was.

Standing outside of the targets manor, Slaine quickly assessed his options. First, the fence. Getting over would be no problem, but common with most brick fences, he couldn't see over. Second, entry. Obviously impossible to use the front door, the only other option is a window, or perhaps the balcony directly above the front door... a risky climb. Then, there was getting unseen into the lord's room. There is no doubt that guards will be posted, and would certainly overpower him quickly. And, of course, there is the actual kill. Of course it would be easy to slit his throat, but that would no doubt cause an investigation to be called. That would surely be a subtraction from his pay, or so his father said. No, he would have to think of something else. But, alas, he had been staring misciviously at the manor for too long, time to take action.

Slaine was quick about his entry. He ran around the fence until he came across a small enough section of the fence. With some quick childhood climbing, he held himself on the fence, peering over. He counted around four guards outside. One was patrolling, if not slowly. Two were chatting while stationed at the gate. Another was on the far side of the outside plaza, eating. The last was patrolling the perimeter outside. The latter guard posed as the biggest problem, so he quickly jumped over when the time was right. He had no time for stealth, he had to quick
