Renhold was born a commoner to a family of farmers on the Sword Coast. His father had once been a Paladin of Torm but time had taken it's toll and he spent the rest of his days as a farmer. Renhold was fascinated by the stories his father told of his days as a paladin and it was his dream to continue his fathers duty. Whenever the freetime was found his father helped practice

After his fathers passing Renhold inherited his fathers land. He had little time to keep up with training and the dreams of following in his fathers footsteps seemed distant. He had married and even had a child of his own.

One day after a normal return from market he had found his farm had been raided by bandits for the stores of food. He took up arms to try to get to his family but was too late. With his home in ruins and his loved ones gone it was a perfect time to make the dream come true. He took up his fathers old equipment and defending the weak to make ammends for not being able to defend his own family.
