"Was that the wind? It got pretty cold in here, didn't it?"

The lost forever, the eternal undead. Not so uncommon among those who knew of the spirits and the souls of the dead trapped in their infinite loop.
This one though wasn't caught in his loops or forced to live forever in undeath. He chose it. He didn't wish for it to end. His journey would never stop for his own believes twisted and rotten in his thoughts.

They were all evil. I can smell their sinful ways. They need to learn.

His ghostly appearance was well hidden. In fact they never saw him. He saw them. He always saw them. He saw you lying to your friend. He watched as you took that coin purse from that helpless old gentleman. It was all bad. They needed to learn the lesson of the right and wrong. The sins you bore were going to be realized.
It was always time to teach with his blade.

The spirit of Gnos was not well known or even recognized by those who could see him or those he chose to show to. There was an old story of him, but it was mostly in nursery rhyme to calm children and scare them to behave. Even those who do remember it are telling the story wrong anyway seeing as the knight died close to six thousand years ago.

"Be good, be nice, or you won't survive. He comes, he comes the dead elf knight. He watches you close with his blade; he is strong. Be good little boy/girl or you won't live long"

Strangely, those who have heard the nursery rhyme don't even recall it well enough to say it word for word after a certain age. Adulthood seemed to do that with much of children's minds.
Upon inspection, from a distance, he looked to be an Elven Knight. No symbols of his kingdom or religion lined his ghostly armors. His hair lengthy and black wafting about stringy and stained with his blood. It danced about his shoulder like he stood in a constant breeze... even indoors.
His pitch black eyes leaving a speck of red hint deep within them. The void lay in those eyes. His body was riddled with blood stains and wounds. Clothing wragged and waving in the non-existant wind much like his hair.

Those who saw him would not be spoken to or acknowledged. He would generally ignore those  with the sight unless they had themselves broken a rule with his beliefs.
What his beliefs were were lost in translation. Was he a savior? Was he demented?
It could all be a sin in his mind. If he didn't like it or felt you have wronged it was when he came to you. Showing himself to only you then coming after you. Alone. Leaving your friends to watch you attack the air swiping your blade at nothing crying out for help. Begging for the spirit to stop. The ghost to leave. Cry for your gods and goddesses. Let your tears flow. Your wrongs will be punished.

No one knows how he chooses these he comes to. Often times it's in the midst of a wrong doing right before a crowd. Most feel the person has gone mad crying out pointing to nothing.

"WHAT IS THAT?!" They screamed pointing their shakey finger at a wall. "Help! HELP ME!" They would whimper grasping for their blade to attack. Soon though, they would fall convulsing. Random carving of a weapon that hit them appearing on their body with no weilder of such weapon nearby. Did they do it to themselves out of madness?

    -OOC-
Gnos is in fact a lost spirit of an Elven Paladin that had fallen in the midst of an ancient battle. His cursed existance leaving him to wander forever trying to prove he is worthy of being what he was. A broken mind hellbent on doing everthing to rid the world of evil. Though he himself would murder those he saw unfit in the eyes of his beliefs.
Yes, that does mean he will come after you (with your permission of course) if he sees you acting in such a way he deems evil.
