Sam is an average looking human, somewhere in his mid to late twenties.  He keeps his body in decent shape, having a lean muscular build suggesting he favors agility as much as sheer strength.  Some might note that he carries himself like a warrior.  His dark green eyes always seem to be sweeping over his surroundings as if constantly searching for something that nobody else can see.

While his physical features might be described as plain Sam himself seems to go out of his way to make an appearance for himself.  This comes both in the way he speaks and the way he dresses, usually inventing a new type of persona for each person he meets.  This usually comes about due to his almost uncanny ability to get a read on people.

Of course he isn't always correct or sometimes is just unable to pull off the appearance he was going for.  Sometimes he can appear to be quite skilled in his ruse but it always does beg the question just what about him is real?  

Because he acts in such a different manner depending on his company it can be hard to get much of a read on Sam's true persona.  Obviously he cares a great deal of what people think about him or he wouldn't go out of his way to craft his different identities.

Sam does appear to be pretty knowledgable when he needs to, suggesting that he's seen quite a bit of the world.  He's able to speak a few different mostly exotic languages and can even offer up some wise advice from time to time.  Ultimately though he changes too much to really narrow down anything more then that.
