Kurgan used to be a foot soldier in a large Goblin army, reaving and raiding across the countryside at the behest of a dark Sorcerer.  Eventually the forces of "good" sent a group of heroes who assassinated the Sorcerer.  Lacking leadership the Goblin horde splintered and eventually lost all cohesion.  The glory days behind him, Kurgan took up the life of a mercenary.  Eventually having trouble finding well paying work he became more of a laborer.  Finally finding a place in Sinfar as a dock worker, and thug for hire.

He spends most of his time drinking and working on the waterfront now, yearning for the glory days spent indulging in the monetary, and physical, spoils of raiding.
