The first thing most people notice about Haldir are his smooth, graceful movements. He steps around obstacles and people without apparent thought, almost as if dancing with them, but never quite touching or being touched by them.

The second thing most people notice about Haldir is the rich, melodic timbre of his voice. Its warm tones seem to caress, running fingers of sound lightly over them when he speaks or, even moreso, when he sings.

The third thing most people notice about Haldir is a friendly smile that never seems to reach his hard, dark eyes, pupils slit vertically like those of a raptor or cat.

Haldir's hair is dark midnight blue, worn long in typical elf style. His head is not usually hooded unless the weather is bad. His skin, lightly kissed by the sun, is not as pale as most moon elves,  though close inspection will still show a faint blue tinge.

Haldir's body is usually fully covered in public, with long sleeves and high collars. A flash of color at his wrist may hint at hidden tattoos underneath, though. When traveling, he carries a guitar strapped over one shoulder, counterweighted by a cased longbow over the other. Both are beautifully made and well maintained, but well used.

In unguarded moments, usually when playing or when he thinks no one is watching him, his features soften and he seems to be looking wistfully at something far away.
