GLADYS' STORY -

Many years ago , Gladys de'Rriyre came to Sinfar to live modestly as a clothing designer; but her life was destined to be full of hardship, pain and hopefully one of passion.

It seemed she was only here for a few months when at the back of her property she heard a great crash. She discovered it was a ship, wrecked on her shore line.

Next on the scene was Hahli, the most inept pirate she had ever met. It was almost comical, a former slave posing as pirate to save face in trying to command her "own" ship, which was in fact stolen.

[Insert- Hahli hails from The Isle of Styss and the ship was stolen from the very Discipline that enslaved her. Hahli's method of trying to captain a ship by herself with no training created quite a commotion and woke up Bonci BoraBora who was below deck hiding from the very same Discipline. (Yes, both not well known for making good choices.)

Long story short, Bonci got up in the Crow's Nest and found the secluded cove that Hahli then crashed into, and Hali meet Gladys, but Bonci said a quick Hello and ran off to find what this new life brought her.]

Months wore on and Hahli seemed to settle into a studio area provided by Gladys. That is when Hahli wasn't busy wandering about shipyards posing as a famous pirate, well at least the attempt was made.

Days seemed to quiet down. It was the following year, Gladys heard the news that the Underdark had gone thru a major upheaval.  But she didn't see that this should bother her, or her business, since she lived on the surface.

Although Gladys' life was not to be so serene and one day she found that strong magic had claimed most of her estate. When entering she was not transported to her home, she instead found herself in a Drow cavern looking at a massive Drow House.

This new House was accessible by Gladys, but she had yet to meet those who now claimed part of her estate.  Walking about outside the Drow House, Gladys discovered a small apartment attached to Hahli's studio. And this small apartment had Gladys' name on it.

Going inside she found it quite comfortable, and determined then she would much rather slip back into her comfortable simple lifestyle if these new Drow were amiable. Then one day she met the eldest Silonah Mar'Cyrl (of the Master's)(secret friend)

Silonah was quite shaken up from the upheaval, and to this day, at times her fear would compel her to dress as if still a militant superior female commanding House Torndartlar (Mistresses of Black Hearts Mysteries).

It was Silonah's daughter, Shirae Mal'Cyrl (silk dancer)(secret friend), who had the strong magic to portal their House to the surface world and that portal claimed most of Gladys' estate.

Shirae's lifestyle preference after the Underdark, also was to be non-militant, The upheaval showed her clearly that her magics were protective and healing in nature and were not suited for the high sorcery as needed in battles.

The four became fast friends with Gladys' estate divided successfully for Gladys, the designer; Hahli, the wanna-be-pirate; and the Drow, Silonah and her daughter Shirae.  But Gladys' happiness was short lived and their lives and homes cast to the winds.

Many attempts were made in the years following to find one another, and then once again with Shirae's strong magic, the four were brought back together.

However, it was up to Gladys to obtain a new home as the Drow were not considered trustworthy for surface work, and Hahli, well Hahli was only known for bragging about that which she wasn't, a pirate.

Gladys' perseverance paid off and she procured the simple House 1 in Port Saban Slums. Hahli, of course, was overjoyed that the dockside was so close and she spent her days, and most evenings, somewhere along the docked ships bragging and living a life of promiscuous female pirate.

But it remains to be seen what life has in store yet for Gladys, Silonah, and Shirae.

[Active Rumor: It is being said that Hahli enlisted the help of her Moon Elf friend, Bonci BoraBora to move "her" ship to an underwater cavern in a concealed area in Saban, and then made a tunnel from Gladys' new house to her beloved ship. And if you look closely at night you might see air bubbles coming up from one of the piers in Saban.

Hahli has now assumed the title of The Dread Pirate Hahli. And of course Bonci learned a few things since arriving in Sinfar and she didn't attempt this undertaking for nothing. Bonci received her own home somewhere in Saban.  And its whereabouts are well concealed because it's said Bonci is operating a SpeakEasy in the back room.]
