Living in a life of poverty, Zhiek was always desperate. She would do what she needed to survive. She would lie cheat and steal to continue living each day. Her ways caught up with her she stole from the wrong man. A wizard named Dargo Kal'thon. He was psycotic man who did many experiments including some unorthidox ones. Dargo found out where Zhiek and her family lived and gave them an ultimatium, give Zhiek to him or die. Without hesitation they gave her up.

For the next 15 years Dargo tortured, experimented, and exploited Zhiek in many grousome and horrifing ways. These experiments took their toll on Zhiek, twisting her mind.
The only times she felt at ease was when she alone in her cage of a bedroom. The room had no windows and seems to close in on her at all times. There was no light in this room the only thing she could see was an haunting visage of her tormentor. But on quiet nights, if she listen'ed closely. She could hear music. The sound was faint but calming and in the music a woman would sing. Her voice would keep Zhiek company for many years. Until Dargo was finally done with her.

Dargo in his final experiment, took Zhiek out into the wilderness and left her to wander. Her only friends where the shadows she would sing to.
