This creature looms, hunched, at 6', and straightens to nearly 8' at a stretch. It appears to be something like a wolven lycanthrope, though less savagely proportioned and more civilly inclined. Its eyes are a deep, blackish blue, its fur a dusky grey, hands and feet twisted and clawed. It generally garbs itself in an oversized chainmail vest and cloth pants in various states of decay and disrepair. The vest is rust-spotted, ancient looking, and seems to have endured much that the pants, ever new and ever shredded and stretched, have not. The creature also bears four shackles on either wrist, and either ankle, all trailing two to three links of broken chain, clinking faintly as he moves.
Flanking this bestial humanoid almost constantly are two horse-sized wolves; dire-wolves to the trained eye. One is considerably bulkier, its hide thicker, scorched, bare over scarred flesh, and a nearly black grey. Its eyes are a deep gold, and shine with unnatural intelligence. The other is leaner, brighter, its eyes a brighter yellow, and it bears no scars or wounds. The beast's final companion is a tiny woman with gossamar wings and clothes made of woven foliage, a dagger at her hip. She has emerald eyes that gleam with mischievious intent, an easy smile and an infectious, high pitched laugh. She readily makes faces at those who stare too long, though her vigor doesn't seem to affect her mount's dour demeanor. For the well-informed and those simply able to sense such things, it would be apparent to the magically inclined, naturally inclined, and divinely familiar that the humanoid creature is not a lycanthrope, that its broken shackles seem to possess an incredible amount of magical power, though their wearer does not seem to warrant it, and that this particular creature's soul is fragmented, and indebted to infernal powers. |
