Teli Grakel

---|---|
Forged in the shape of a beautiful elven woman, this construct stands tall among her peers. While seemingly made of flesh, the only thing that sets Teli apart from the walking dead is the fact that she has never lived, and thus never died, at all.
Outwardly a haughty elven beauty, Teli's alien manners soon betray her unnatural heritage. Her speech is monotonous and devoid of genuine emotion. Similarly, her eyes blink only rarely, and her breathing is carefully monitored. In fact, even when exhausted, Teli's breath remains even, if hastened. Her motions, likewise, are robotic and carefully measured. She rarely performs unnecessary motions, remaining still in absence of productive activity. Overall, her inhuman stillness might frighten many laymen. Some people versed in spellcraft would argue that Teli is a failure as a construct: she bleeds, she needs to breathe, eat and has even some kind of soul that can be tampered with - all weaknesses that are not found in ordinary constructs. On the other hand, she seems to possess free will and capacity for reasoning, although that leaves her mind vulnerable to various influences. As she is now, Teli is a strange hybrid of a construct and a living being: alien, robotic and resilient, but full of biological needs and quirks. Those with the ability to read arcane marks would notice that there's one planted on the nape of Teli's neck. It belongs to Grakel Goldbrass, a dwarven master transmuter of some renown. |
