Dalen looks to be in his mid-twenties, with most about him appearing conscientiously well-tended.  His vividly deep blue eyes appear kind to many, but piercing when turned to focus upon some foe or threat.  Something in his look back may also seem worldwise, as if somewhere in his history he has seen much, and is thus surprised by little.

His normal manner is calm and composed in an unassuming way, as if he is used to and comfortable with being among others as one of them, although traits of a leader may quickly emerge from him should a situation call for it, hinting that this too, somewhere along the way, became a natural part of him.

His speech is fluent but often comfortably colloquial, with a somewhat foreign quality.  Those familiar will recognize his accent as Amnish, while the very familiar may note its specific quality as rural.

When in armor, the symbolic sunrise over landscape of Lathander prominently emblazons his cloak, with a companion blue, white and gold tabbard over the breastplate of his very well crafted heavy fullplate denoting affiliation with an order from somewhere beyond the isles.

When in regular clothing, especially more formal attire, Lathander's symbol may sometimes be seen on an amulet he wears.

Prominently on his left ring finger now, visible whenever he does not wear gauntlets or gloves, is a masterfully crafted gold ring with single brilliant diamond cut to catch and reflect the light in the manner of a sunrise.  Seen together with that his wife Ashlyn wears, viewers will note the two rings to be a matched pair.

When wearing his armored gauntlet, though, a likeness of the ring is now shaped into the first link of the small steel plates forming the guard over his left ring finger.

To see the joy in his look when with Ashlyn, it is clear he has eyes for her, and her alone.
