Helmed Horrors are suits of empty armor imbued with magical life and purpose. They make tireless and extremely effective guardians, soldiers, and bounty hunters.

This Helmed Horror in particular has a small crest in its helm, right above the opening for the eyes. The crest appears to be a large spider with an arrow and a crossbow bolt crossed behind it.

Those familiar with it or with high lore in drow history might recognize the crest as House Maeviir crest.

This construct is the result of Irae Maeviir attempts to create a magical construct rather than one moved by clockwork mechanisms.

It has a larger magical power source  in order to animate the suit of armor.

There is also an elemental spirit bound to the construct, granting him sentience (and limited free will). This makes this construct able to learn, and interact with others in a limited way. However, this construct can't speak beyond the grinding of its metal parts.
