Origin story
Born blind Maria is the blood heir to the Everlen Dynasty. In her country they?re in control of the countries military. After more the a century of failing to cure her eyesight without the use of demonic magic her father exiled her and took her titles away telling her she would never be able to see her people interests. After she was exiled she travelled passing realms and eventually taking a wrong turn into Sinfar. Despite being in a strange land she still takes her peoples traditions very seriously

Story of the curse
Her father Tanzai Everlen is a famed demon hunter and is spoken with great respect in the homeland. However during one of his cruel ventures into humiliating the demons he was cursed to have all his children born blind just as he had ripped out the demons children?s eyes for sport.

Progress so far
After coming to Sinfar Maria used Demons blood to cure herself of the curse she was born with.

Courtship Duelling
In Marias homeland the way relationships are conducted are different. Duelling is used to solve most arguments and is a key in their society. Instead of marrying, a man or woman will challenge others for the right of dominative control over the other person. When the challenged losses these duels they become the challengers object. These duels are fought with Ceremonial swords and robes and nothing else. However the catch is the person who lost the duel may challenge the original challenger to a rematch for their freedom at any given time.
