Corey Lorvon was a First Lieutenant in the Explorer Corps in the late 24th century while aboard the jumpship Outbound Light cataloging newly charted planets. The ship had a catastrophic misjump thus crippling the Kearny-Fuchida drive of the ship with life support failing an cuttoff in one of the aft compartments . Corey gathered up equipment and gear and made his way to the life pod.
