Luminous Minstrel Extraordinaire

           "LUMEN"


A little over five feet tall, Lumen cut a girlish figure with a slender, birdlike bone structure. Pale, freckled skin carried an inhuman lustre, and her hair shimmers a vibrant shade of red. One slender braid accented her generally sideswept hairstyle, bound at the tip by a bead of gold and a dark, blue-black feather.

From amongst those sleek auburn waves, twin horns rose above either brow to curl gracefully back in profile. The ashen-gold tines spiralled into a fine taper, where one sported a small adornment in the form of a band of burnished gold.

Eyes a dark, murky shade of green were set at an almond angle to the rest of her features, matching the upward flick of her ears. Such eyes often bore a wicked sparkle or a gleam of decidedly wyrmish avarice, and were usually accented with a smokey kohl.

Were it not for these more obvious signs of an exotic bloodline the girl might have passed for a human or elf-blooded female of tender years.

She was prone to wearing bright colours and provocative cuts, though never one to be falling out of her clothes. Ever present about her throat hung several layers of fine golden chain, dripping an ever-evolving selection of precious gems, beads and charms - a collection the strange girl seemed unnaturally attached to. A bright red jewel would glimmer from her navel too, should this area be visible.

Of late, the minstrel's usual carefree nature had taken a darker turn. More prone than ever to overindulgence - Her humour carried a bitter edge... and her eyes often alighted onto some distant detail, as though expecting - or hoping - something else to be there..
