The man swaggers with the arrogance of either a pirate or a mercenary...the sort of man that has pitted his blade against anothers a hundred times, and he bears the scars to prove it. Faded scars mark his cheeks, and the bottom lobe of his left ear is nearly fully gone, along with a crooked nose arranged as such by far too many errant fists all serve to give the man a grizzled appearance that hardly boasts as 'pretty'. Along his right forearm is a brand that marks him as a convicted felon...where and why he was convicted remain a mystery as the marks are certainly not local.

From looking at him, it is easy to see that he is no stranger to hard work, despite the graying hair and the sags underneath his eyes. He is possessed of that sinewy muscle so commonly found in sailors and slaves, though the longsword hanging at his hip discredits the latter choice. The easiest guess then, is that this man is simply a disenfranchised thug. Some criminal scum scattered from his gang or crew, and now out to make a living on his own wiles.
