Clearly a dwarf, though tall for his kin, the mage gives off an exceedingly unkept appearance. Unlike most of his kind, he takes no pride in the polishing of the precious metal clasps that keep his heavy garments pinned together, looking as if at any moment the whole thing could fall apart. Indeed, the whole sight of the man looks like a jumbling together of several half-concieved notions--the unfortunate leftovers of better men and races than he. And yet, in spite of it all, the dwarf still appears shockingly regal. The strong jawline, noticeable even beneath the thick beard that he shows far better care for than his armor, and intense, blue eyes coupled with a voice that rarely raises above an even, collected tone and yet never manages to be lost regardless of other distractions paint the picture of a man bred to be a leader of men.

Though, what purpose such a dwarf might have so far from home and in such unsightly attire might be anyone's guess.
