Varus is a tall steel-willed human, strong and well conditioned. He holds himself with an air of practiced authority, with a cunning eye that doesnt miss much. He is an able and shrewd tactician in battle, wielding a manner of exotic shreiking, whirring blades that create much horrible violence when they hit home. His armor is ill-fitting, an indication it was not crafted for him. Varus has made a modification to hs armor, he has branded the curiass with a scarlett =][= symbol that blases brightly in the presence of outright evil. To understand this symbol, only a few of the well learned of the planes may ever know what it means. (Send a Tell for a Lore check))

Outside of his armor, varus can be found wearing a coal-black leather stormcoat, grey martial pants, a white tunic with a chained pendant carrying his seal of office in bright crimson, and brilliantly shined riding boots capped with steel at the toes and heel. His attire is rich, yet serves his purpose for both intimidation as well as "display", something important in his role.  

A recent update is varus has taken to wearing a ruby red stud in his left ear as a momento of sorts. The small ruby stud glints only slightly in the light and would otherwise fit in with his other assortment of decorative items, all of which carry some deeper meaning to a man of his craft but the stud stands out as a new addition.

Varus has lived in Blackwater on the Isle of Styss, so citizens of the three cities might recognize him on their arrival in Sinifer. He is a supporter of the Temple of Bast, can often be found enjoying a drink in the Serpentine Club or Casa Kadijah, and has a few secrets to tell those who have earned his trust.  ;)
