Ambrose began as a Ranger in the Temple of Mystra's Order of the Mystic Fire. The Temple of Mystra discovered his natural Arcane talent and his preference for studying.

He spent most of his youth on expeditions to locate and mark hordes of Arcane equipment, knowledge, and artifacts.

He now works in the Temple of Mystra as an administrator and trainer of young mages.
