Bio:

The fanfare broke out through the throne room as William approached his father, the king.  Today was a special day for William...today he was to be knighted and recruited into the Royal Knights.  At 16 years old he was the youngest squire to be knighted and it wasn't uncommon to hear rumors murmered through the halls that it was because of his father he was being knighted.  William detested those rumors, as the King's son he was pushed harder than any other potential knight.  He lived his whole existance for this day, he would train long after everyone else slept, and would wake before any other potential canidate.  He constantly had the highest marks in his group in all of the course.  He felt it was unfair to assume he had it easy, but today he wasn't letting that bother him.  Even as the hushed whispers floated all around him as he walked up the red carpet approaching the king.  The corrination only took a few minutes, but that day changed him forever.

William was 18 years old now, he had been a royal knight for 2 years this day and things were going well.  So well in fact he was being looked at as a canidate to replace the fallen Knight commander.  While William greived the lost of his mentor, he got a guilty joy knowing he could be the next commander.  The day seemed to drag on until all the knights were called to assemble in the throne room.  This was it, he knew the king, his father, was about to appoint the next commander.  He was one of the first to report to the throne room and other started to fill in for about 5 minutes until the room was full.  The king stood and make his message brief.  He spoke kind works about Sir Jeffory, the fallen commander, and sent his soul to the gods.  Then he got to the appointment of the next knight commander. It wasn't William...and that hit him like a blow from a warhammer.  Alas, he was trained not to let disappointment get him down so he kept his head high and trained that much harder for when promotions were due again.  As he went to leave, his father stopped him and explained to him that William wasn't ready for the post.  While William respected his father he silently disagreed with his synopsis.

Age 22 now, and there are talks about branching off the royal knights into another group as they have grown 5 times in number since William first became a Royal Knight.  With the segmentation of the knights, this opened up another knight commander position and William didn't want to miss this appointment.  He was already are more proficient fighter than his brethern, and he had been nothing but loyal. He felt as though he has proved himself worthy of the position, but it wasn't going to be that easy it seemed.  There were three canidates for the position, William and two of his other comrades who were also exceptional knights.  The king brought all three of them to the throne room and explained what needed to be done to claim the position.  The ideal canidate needed to illustrate proper knighthood no matter where he went.  The canidate needed to be able to stare temptation in the eyes and come out victorious by not giving into it.  They could go anywhere, but William wanted to prove himself...so he chose to go to Sinfar.

William, now 23, has been away from kalamar for a year.  Memories of his father's kingom are just that...memories.  Love is a powerful spell and William was enchanted. Finding a beautiful human girl in the market one day had him rethinking his whole life as a knight.  In fact, when he got summons from his father to return he simply ignored the request. This woman had him turned upside down on what he believed and now, given the choice of love or duty, he chose love.  A month later they were wed.   Williams father was not in attendance.  He labled his son a deserter and sent bounty hunters after him. A scuffle ensued claiming the life of his bride and their unborn child sending William down a very dark path of anger and revenge.  His drive for revenge was so strong that he began looking for supernatural solutions.  It didn't take long to find a solution and his drive for vengence had him making deals with demons.  He offered part of his soul in servitude in order to gain the power neccisary to kill his father.

At 25 years old, William was weilding his other worldly new powers with a skilled mace arm.  Now was as good a time as any to hunt down the man who killed his wife and child. He arrived in Kalamar shrouded with a purple hood taking in the familar sites and sounds.  He couldn't be nostalgic now, he had a job to do.  It was easy to sneak into the castle with the ability to manipulate the shadows. fluttering in and out of view like a apparition had become second nature and he was using it to his advantage.  He got into his father's room and stood over his bed as his father slept.  It was all to easy. He left the shadows and stared at the man he barely reconized anymore until he woke.  Pulling back his hood to show the intense hate in his eyes he let his father gaze upon his face.  My wife and my unborn child are dead because of you he said. His father looked at him with half-dead eyes and William knew he was no longer his father.  The frail man spoke to him with surprising power, he was possesed. William knew this was all the Demon's doing to claim another soul.  With pity, he used his mace and blugeoned his father using what holy power he had left.  With the demon slain, William vowed to reclaim his soul.
