"he had three faces: one in front
bloodred; and then other two that, just above the midpoint of each shoulder, joined the first; and at the crown, all three were reattached; the right looked somewhat yellow, somewhat white; and left in its appearance was like those who come from where the Nile, descending, flows." Inferno, Canto XXIV. Before you stands a creature often completely covered from head to toe in some sort of robe, as well as a hood or other sort of drab clothing that fully covers it's head. Often all that's seen from under the hood is the green glow of its eyes. The robes themselves are often tattered, with various scarred patches where what looks like a blade or even a brand has been sent through to seer its flesh. Chains were draped over its shoulders, seeming attached to bind the cloth in place as they encircled the creature's midriff. Just over his lower back was a short, iron bar pushed through the links that seemed to keep them in place there with a large metal ball at each end. Its hands were nearly always kept at its back, with a long band of leather incircled with wires keeping it in place around its forearms. Rather than hands, the creature had actual blades extending from either wrist. Though they were not immediately apparent and often covered by small pieces of cloth extending from its robes, attached through thin leather bindings. This quiet creature often kept its head low, staring off along the ground and seeming to mutter to itself often enough, even engaging in conversations with someone, or something that was never there to be seen. Once approached, the creature would not always found to be so friendly. Often hissing at others, or not even replying in turn. If one were to come close enough and peer into the darkness that situated itself within his hood, they might fight that its skin was a rather dark, green tone. It seemed to be nearly entirely covered in coarse scales, as if it were some sort of lizard-kin. Though it did not seem to have a tail, nor did it have any sort of snout. However should it open its maw, one would find rows of razor-sharp teeth, three rows in total. Also within that mouth was a wrinkled what seemed deformation of a forked tongue. If it was to drop completely from its lips, it was quite long enough to reach its waist. Often even flicking out to taste the air, particularly if one that at least partially interested him came near. Those that he found unpleasant would simply be met with a growl, or some other form of display that made its will quite clear. Upon its left cheek was a deeply branded symbol of a pentragram, which set aside a sort of juxtaposition upon its features considering it seemed heavily scarred over, and nearly completely red in color. It also had three metal bars affixed through the bridge of its slim nose, rooted deeply within the flesh and ending with a small metal ball at either end. If you were to see its ears, they also would have an array of metal objects pierced through, some bars, some rings, as well as what looked like some sort of crude spike jutting through his right earlobe, gauging it almost obscenely in the process. (For those with True Sight, or something akin to it like a high Spot check: when looking into his hood, they would find not one face, but three. The left is which was blood red, though partially white in some blotchy spots. The right was completely black. Either seemed to carry pitch-black orbs serving as eyes of some sort that would stare right through those that look on.) As it walked along, or even stood still one might notice a thin black fog bellowing from the bottom of its robes to cascade and flow out about it from wherever it may currently reside. The fog didn't seem immediately dangerous when it was approached, though one low to the ground might feel a cold chill running up along their form should they stand close enough to the creature. Were that robe ever to fall off, chains to be removed, one would notice it is actually a unic. It has no female, or male genitalia for that matter. Though one might wonder if that was intentional, or even magically done, considering there is no scarring there. Just more scales. (Ask if you're curious about lights. The character -is- able to grow male 'parts', if you can actually find it in the mood to do so.) |
