Your only hope for survival, and to escape the unlife of a thrall, was to drive a stake into your husband's heart on your wedding night.  Yes, it was a traumatic experience (not to mention a bit of a downer), but it's given you new purpose in your life.  Guided by your goals, you have left the ranch to search for the nest where these unholy abominations keep coming from...

Scent: If you were to get close enough to notice, Elise's collar smells of garlic oil; an aroma she seems to have grown accustomed to.

Elise wears a sturdy old worn leather duster and a thick leather collar around her neck.  Her clothing is usually covered in trail dust.

She sports a gold and walnut "mare's leg" lever-action repeating rifle in a quick draw holster on her right thigh.  A 2" ivory Maltese cross adorns either side of the stock. Additional crosses are scroll-worked into the sides of the receiver and near the muzzle of the barrel, as well.  Although she doesn't seem to give her appearance a second thought, her rifle somehow seems to be immaculate and in good working order.

Because of her background, it's not very likely that she'll be sitting and twisting on anyone in the near future.

I'm sort of envisioning her as a happy (or possibly miserable) mix of Dungeons & Dragons meets Deadlands with a little bit of "Hellsing" tossed in for good measure.  If you don't like it, take it up with Marshall Mav, then pull that burr out of your saddle, mount up and get the hell out of Dodge.
