Trueself

Nox was what some would call an anthropomorphic creature, beastkin, or outright declare her an animal. The objective truth was that Nox was an animal-like humanoid with a high resemblance to a vulpine.

There was more to it. While she was completely covered in dark fur, certain parts of her had a purple, violet, and pink shine to them. It visually moved as a flame would. Contrary to that sight, those mystic fragments of her body were cold to the touch but seemed to be merely a layer that covered those parts, as further exploration would yield the same outcome as touching any normal body part.

Aside from those odd fragments, Nox was short in stature with an average thickness to her body thickness. As mentioned before, she was resembling an animal in a lot of ways. Her head was similar to that of a fox, although she had short, sparkly violet hair and golden, slitted eyes that seemed to radiate light the darker it got. Her body was completely covered in dark fur. Her limbs were no exception, as she was a digitigrade, which meant she walked on her toes, and her paws were adjusted to that way of walking. Her hands were also a bit scarier than normal hands, with thick, albeit trimmed claws, left in a state where self-defense would still be possible. Finally, her tail, the same sparkly violet color, was thick and long, seeming to have its own nonchalant consciousness and her own take on the surrounding Nox events.

While covered in fur, she'd have patterns formed with the same sparkling layer on top of herself, some resembling pictures, some symbols, and some merely gibberish to a sane mind.

Nox was a calm creature, one to accept solitude but embrace company. Perhaps ironically or more out of cynism embracing her animal part and accepting her thin layer of fur as the only coat she needs in life, she rarely has much on herself in terms of value or protection.

Anyone with a magical sense would feel fey influence all around Nox.

Human

While embracing the sweet lie, Nox didn't differ much at first glance. Her fur was gone, but her skin remained a similar dark hue. Although it resembled tar in color, it was soft and delicate to the touch, like dyed silk. Similarly, whatever was left of her fur and hair would keep its unique sparkling nature.

Her face, now without a snout, had a small snub nose, shiny big eyes, and average lips. Her ears remained as they were before, fox-like. And while smaller, her canines would still peek out sharper than they should be.

If she were to stand next to her true self, one could easily spot that in this form, she was taller by a good bit. Yet while she could reach the cookie jar more easily, her chest shrank, not even a handful. Such was the curse of trying to hide your true nature. Or something.

This shape didn't stop her from her preferred wardrobe of nothing, and she still didn't seem to be bothered by the mild weather changes.
