Avaya

Portrait
Description
She's almost a dead ringer for her twin Akasha, from her diminutive five foot one height to her milky alabaster skin and rich burgundy hair. But there are a few notable differences.

While her eyes are the same shade of rich aged wine purple, instead of silver snowflakes floating through her gaze it is dark, ashy snowflakes that tumble through the depths. Her eyes are framed by the same incredibly dark lashes, have the same tendency to shift colour from purple to one of any number of shades, from red, to fold, to black and even blue.

She bears wings like her twin, but hers are far from the pearly grey-white glory of Akasha's. Instead, Avaya's wings are a rich, sultry ebony, though they are rarely seen as she keeps them carefully concealed beneath a heavy cloak and bound with strips of amber silk that gleam with a shock of vibrant colour against the darkness of the feathers.

Her hair is longer than Akasha's - if left loose, it would easily fall in heavy waves to her ankles, but she keeps it tied back, the long tail draping down between those hidden wings.

She moves with the same grace, speaks in almost the same voice, except that one could hear in her tone that she was a broken creature. A matching golden ring - identical in every way to Akasha's - pierces through the center of her lower lip, and she had a habit of grabbing onto it with her teeth and tugging softly.

Her body bears near-identical scars to her twin sister, and some, if seen, would prove to be exactly identical. But she conceals these with simple charms, not letting most people view them. But if caught off her guard, one could clearly tell she'd been badly abused at some point in her life.

Tattooed along the left of her neck is a series of five numbers in heavy black ink - 19463 - and these numbers seem to have meaning to her. However, they are nearly lost amongst the second tattoo around her neck - neatly done scrollwork in the manner of a ring of scars, which nearly obscures the true mark of scarred flesh that lies beneath. This is the only scar she doesn't bother to hide with charms, as it is bery hard to detect under the carefully done ink.

On the back of her right shoulder rests a birthmark, a dragon surrounded by flames. It is small but raised, and easily enough to make out the detail of it so that it would be recognized if seen. This birthmark is exactly opposite Akasha's, who bears hers on the left.

Her bone structure is softly aristocratic - cheekbones high, nose small and pert, mouth lush and full and stained a rich red. Her jaw flows in a sleek line like the rest of her body, curves in all the right places, breasts full and heavy but not obscene. If one ever caught those breasts bare, they would find each rosy nipple was pierced through with a gold ring that matched the one in her lip, the twin rings joined by a length of silver chain draped between them. There was probably a charm that made her clothing lay flat across the rings and chain, because they wouldn't be noticeable if she were clothed.

And just like her twin, she bore four silver rings upon her arms, two at her biceps and two at her wrists. These rings showed no obvious hinge or clasp, no way of removal, and yet they didn't seem entirely solid because they fit no matter the flex of her muscle, conforming to fit her flesh comfortably at all times.
