A warrior of some renown in his homeland, Hroth speaks little of his past when asked about it.  Stories tell of a warrior who took leave of his clan for a time to wander the darkened roads of the Northern Wastes, seeking high adventure and worthy foes to test his steel against.

Another story tells of a duel against a mighty Frost Giant atop a high peak, while gods threw jagged bolts of lightning down on them, and of defeating the colossus in single combat and carving its very heart from its chest.

Clad in thick, dark plate forged in the likeness of his previous clan, his brown beard and hair is streaked with iron, a sign of a veteran warrior who has been the doom of many foes. His pale blue eyes blaze with the fiery rage of his god, and his ornate plate is festooned with trophies of his brutal and bloody victories.
